If RNA polymerase can only synthesize RNA in the 5' to 3' direction,
why did the textbook show that RNA is moving along the DNA strand from the 5' to 3' direction when it is supposed to be the other way round?
maybe it is jus a conventional way to write DNA sequences from 5' to 3'.
or maybe the diagram din show it, but the RNA polymerase is polymerising the complementary 3' to 5' strand not the 5' to 3' strand shown?
